Some things I love about Flickity:. I’ve worked on a in the past, and know how difficult it can be. I’d consider that one largely deprecated, as it doesn’t have what 2 vital features these days: responsiveness and touch-friendliness. Things that Flickity specifically focuses on.
It totally doesn’t care what you do inside the s that are the “slides”. It could be images or movies or text or absolutely anything. And you just get a simple class to know which one is active, which means you can do any styling you want for the active (and inactive) slides easily. Init (AND CONFIG) with HTML is awesome.
JSON in a data-attribute, I love it. Controlling whether or not the slider is active via the CSS content property? Hi David,I must say that your work on Flickity really ends my struggle to find a carousel script for years. I bought the developer licence immediately after skimming through the docs.Just to let you know I’ve been struggling with several carousel scripts for years, saw a lot of use cases that they can’t handle properly and ends up not using them in my projects.The main thing I don’t like about carousel scripts is as you said, they are unfriendly for developers. Either they are hard to configure, needs you to specify breakpoints as a JS object, does not handle items with width: auto, height: 100% very well or has their own drawbacks on specific cases.But today when I was looking (again) for a good carousel script to implement in my project, I saw this post here, took a look at it and saw it was developed by Metafizzy. Wow, I thought this must be a good one!Now I just spent five minutes working with it, and my problem for years with width: auto, height: 100% carousel items has been solved.Thanks for this great script! Looking forward to features like lazy loading and mechanism to keep items out of the DOM when not displayed.
If I understand correctly, you want to take a single cell in a multi-cell table and change its padding to zero.You can do that but it effects, in some manner, all other cells in the table. If you change the left or right padding in a single cell, it effects the column width of all other adajcent columns. If you change the top or bottom padding ofa single cell it effects all cells in the same row.Further, once you change these setting in a single cell, you cannot alter the padding settings for a row or column. An individual cell's custom margin settings take precedence for the row/column.Kind Regards, Rich. Try something along the lines of:Sub DemoDim Tbl As Table, sRwHt As Single, StrRowCol As StringWith ActiveDocument.Tables(1).Cell(2, 2)StrRowCol = InputBox('How many Rows & Columns?' & vbCr & 'in Row#,Column# format, please.'
).TopPadding = 0.BottomPadding = 0.LeftPadding = 0.RightPadding = 0sRwHt =.HeightSet Tbl =.Tables.Add(Range:=.Range, NumRows:=1, NumColumns:=1)With Tbl.Rows(1).Height = sRwHt.TopPadding = 0.BottomPadding = 0.LeftPadding = 0.RightPadding = 0.Spacing = 0.Cell(1, 1).Split NumRows:=Trim(Split(StrRowCol, ',')(0)), NumColumns:=Trim(Split(StrRowCol, ',')(1))End WithEnd WithEnd SubThe above macro inserts a new table into cell B2 in the first table in the document. It solicits the # rows and columns for the new table. Theoretically, you should be able to plug those values into the.Tables.Add expression but, on my system at least,the # rows value is ignored; hence the.Cell(1, 1).Split expression.CheersPaul EdsteinMS MVP - Word.
